Testosterone : starting today. What to expect?

Just that, following the recent documentary by Davina, I spoke with GP and she's given me testosterone gel to take alongside my HRT.

Bit nervous and wonder what I can expect to happen and how fast?

Anyone have experience?

Sorry nobody came to answer your question. You may start to feel an effect after about 12 weeks but it can take up to 6 months. In addition your estrogen has to be at optimum levels.

You can hopefully expect your energy levels to increase, your mood and brain fog to lift, better concentration, muscle tone and an increase in libido.

Hi,
Hope you are doing well with it. I started it 3 months ago, but it has not been positive for me. In fact, bizarrely I had the opposite reaction. Feeling more tired, no increase in libido, emergence of previously absent brain fog, and alarming increase in hair loss. I am going to get another blood test.

I've found it very helpful in reducing brain fog and increasing energy levels. It did take about 3 months I think to feel the benefits. I am about to have a blood test to make sure the levels of testosterone in my blood are within normal levels as I started it within the last six months. Hope it helps you too.
