I'm just drinking my first cuppa; it's very peaceful other than a neighbour's dog whining 🤷‍♀️

I'm planning on having a relaxing day today after a busy end of half term week & then being out with my Guides yesterday.

There's still towels to wash though, some cups from last night to wash up, and tea to cook. I might even iron the school shirts so they're done.

I want to re-write my to-do list as well, so I can read it and maybe tick off a couple of small things.

I expect the girls will not do much of anything today either, although they were keen on trying out lots of recipes over half term so maybe we'll attempt one of the sweet ones or iced tea ones.

For tea it's pork loin steaks with garlic roast potatoes, and salad. 🍷for me.

What's everyone else up to? 🙂

My DH friend popped over for breakfast so was good to catch up with him, both DD’s had a lie in. Ordered a takeaway roast from the pub for lunch, all eaten and cleared away. Just dropped eldest DD at local funfair for a few hours, now sat on the sofa.

I’m watching the final stage of the Giro D’Italia (21 day bike race), and knitting a cardigan for the baby my lovely DIL is expecting.

Went for a sunny walk.
Went to church
Did a supermarket shop
Home for a late lunch and now MNing.
Soon I will clear out the loft.
Later I'll wrap present for friend's birthday party.

The most exciting thing I've done so far today is go to B&M for bird feeders and seed. I was putting them up in the garden when I got collared by my neighbour for an hour. She liked to chat!

I'm now waiting for the start of the Monaco F1.

So lovely to hear your fosterling is doing so brilliantly, @bloodywhitecat ! And very well done on the DIY.

We’re on holiday and the sun’s out after a heavy shower earlier. Went for a 6 mile walk this morning in glorious sunshine, watching the black clouds and heavy rain bypass us to the east.
For some odd reason now my feet and ankles are very uncomfortable - I’m used to walking but my feet and ankles aren’t happy 🙄
Ddog has been asleep all afternoon, she was running around the beach like a loon, DGCs are down on the beach with DDIL, DS is cooking a roast.
We’re here for 2 weeks, DS for one. Planning to do very little tomorrow and hope my ankles/feet sort themselves out!

We've had a really nice day.

DH took toddler DS2 to the playground this morning so I could clean, then went to work (will be back tomorrow evening)

After lunch I took the DC back to the park again so we could see friends (+ boyfriend, and baby, and dog). Took the cookies I made while DS2 napped (I am rarely this organised)

Came home, had a massive salad (ha!) for dinner and now am watching Turbo with the DC in the still tidy flat.

Camomila · 29/05/2022 19:44

Bad bits - I think we lost DS2s favourite hotwheels yellow car at the park, hopefully I can find another one. Also, DS2 went and sat on the lap of a daddy that looked vaguely like DH at the park (I was right there and pulled him off apologetically) 😳

@SomethingNastyInTheBallPool and @DonnaRhea thank you both. I even managed to get him to sleep in it without too many trips up and down stairs to return him to bed. My DD is now running a sweepstake on what time of night I will wake to find him stood by the side of my bed!
