I’ve been watching Silent Witness and I’m struck by Emilia Fox and the fact she doesn’t appear to have had any work done to her face. She looks fantastic. It highlights how we rarely see women on TV who are aging naturally, that it stands out when someone hasn’t had Botox etc. Amanda Burton looks great but the difference is quite stark between the two.

There’s not a line on her forehead. Which I wouldn’t have even thought about if she wasn’t standing next to Emilia Fox with her fully mobile face. Looks good though.

She's got a Botox forehead and pretty sure she's had a subtle nose job if you look at old photos of her plus teeth whitening...not sure about aging naturally.

Really? I can't see it. She has amazing bone structure, she'll probably look fabulous at 60 and beyond.

I agree, Amanda Burton has the plastic surgery look, Emilia Fox looked great, natural and her age. Hopefully for her it will pay off in her long term career

Really great work, done by great professionals isn't noticeable I think. You look at the person and they just look "better" but you can't put your finger on it. It takes you a while to figure out the difference because it was so subtle or just so suitable to the face that it blends in.
Emilia Fox clearly went to a great pro! A lot of people with more money than her just weren't so lucky (a few royals come to mind...). Interesting how the other day I was watching Silent Witness and thinking how she looks exactly the same as on the first episode, whereas "Jack" has really aged a bit.
I would really like to do botox and get a blepharoplasty in the future and I hope to be as lucky as Emilia. I'm a bit face-blind so it's really important to me to have symmetry in the face because that's sth my brain focuses on a lot.

Amanda Burton is now in her mid sixties, a lot younger than Emilia Fox, so cannot compare. They are both beautiful.

How can you compare a woman of 66 with a woman of 47?
Amanda Burton looks good at 66, she's 19 years older than Emilia Fox, could be her mother.

Amanda Burton has overly frozen forehead. She does not look great. She looks like an older woman who has had work done.

Emilia Fox looks nothing like her age, but it is much more natural looking. Ie, she looks younger than her age and like she has had less work done than she actually must have had done.

It'll be interesting to see her age and compare when she is Amanda's age. Does all work, even the really good stuff, start to look fake eventually? I guess so, unless you start gradually stepping down the botox so you do age, just slower than in reality

I sat near Emilia Fox at an event not long ago and she looks just a young and pretty in the flesh. She was also wearing a really nice dress.

I think she is lovely looking, but is looking a bit drawn and over thin at times. I think as people age sometimes not being quite so slim can look a little healthier.

She definitely looks like she's had botox, at least. It's not always very noticeable, especially if you're comparing to someone with the 'frozen' look.

She looks lovely anyway so who cares.

The character played by Amanda Burton is a "baddie", so make up department have tried to portray this by giving her this look. The mean red lips and hair tied back, dark clothes, for a severe look.

I don't think that she necessarily is. That isn't clear yet. If she is found to be that would be very odd as she will have had a complete change of character from when she used to be in it.
I hadn't noticed that she had had any work done but I did think she looked s bit odd , I just couldn't work out why!

I don’t think Emilia Fox looks particularly young for her age, but she looks good and natural compared to other actors, who I don’t notice/think about them having work done, but I think you notice Emilia Fox looks different from the botoxed norm. The more natural look stands out more.
I’m not comparing the two actresses in terms of beauty/age, it was more that Emilia Fox stood out to me in her more natural state, line/forehead wise. And to her benefit.

Alison hammond is the same age and I saw her on TV today. I was thinking her skin looks amazing. Flawless

Alison Hammond does have beautiful skin. She’s got a glow about her.
