Duck egg honesty box how much?

Hi, our village has a house where the owners have a load of ducks. They live a lovely
life on the adjacent beck.

The owners clearly have more eggs than they can use so they’ve set up an egg selling station outside their house. There’s an honesty box and a sign which says help yourself to eggs in exchange for a donation and all money goes towards the duck’s keep.

There we’re five eggs left today - what do people think would be an appropriate donation please?

id put in 1.50 - £2 as i buy free range eggs 6 for £1.10 so £2ish is good to me

At least 50p per egg. Price of bird food has shot up

Depends where you live really. We have ducks and where we used to live it would have been more like £2. Haven’t set up a stand here yet but it would be more like £1 for half dozen. So I’d say £1.50-2 for 5.

all money goes towards the duck’s keep
