Anyone else got bad hayfever today? I'm taken prescription drugs, eye drops, nose sorry, everything. Feel absolutely dreadful.

Really bad, it came on suddenly about 4 o'clock and I have no idea why! I can't take my strong antihistamines at the moment because I'm breastfeeding so just on loratidine.

Oh god poor you. Have they helped?

Yes! It was weird and totally unexpected. Just used my Beconase nasal spray and it seems to have subsided for now but let’s see. Sorry to hear you are experiencing symptoms OP. Hope you have all the medication you need on hand.

Weird. Not sure what part of the country you are in but mine peaked around 10am this morning. After using the spray, seems to have completely subsided.

Hope I am not jinxing myself by saying this though! 😅

I went out yesterday and really paid for it today I’ve been awful sneezing constantly, so fed up of hay fever it really ruins summer for me, I find all the stuff I use doesn’t really work either! What’s best to use?

Nowillpoweratall · 28/05/2022 20:08

I have fexonfenadine on prescription but its not helping. Mine got really bad last night.

Which ones do you normally take?

Pinkywoo · 29/05/2022 07:52

I normally take fexafenadine, and no the loratidine does nothing! It's not been too bad this year until now, which is strange because normally I get it early and then am fine by the summer.

Elderflower14 · 29/05/2022 08:46

I've started using the Nuage Hay Fever Balm from Poundland.. Rub it under your nose... I'm on Fexofenadine, prescription nasal spray and also off the shelf eye drops!

I've had hayfever for years with chronic sinus issues and they've always fobbed me off with loratidine!

My DS got a nasal spray from the GP when he was doing his GCSE’s. It was brilliant.
