Garmin...fitbit ...or?

Is there a cheapish smartwatch that can track a run and play music for less than £100 or are the cheaper brands a waste of money?

Have you thought about secondhand ones? I have an AppleWatch (new) that I use all the time. My DP bought a Samsung watch to go with his phone and hates it for a variety of reasons. It’s practically new and he’ll be selling. On investigation to see what we could get for it, those are loads of good ones about. Just a suggestion.

I’m not saying Samsung is bad btw, just how my DP used it.

I have a fitbit which I liked, but after 2 years the light in it has faded and now it's just black. It still tracks things, but I can only view these in the app. Googled it and it seems to be a very common problem with fitbits. Out of warranty obvs.

Huawei watch fit. Or Huawei band 6. First one is about £50 and second is about £40 I have the band 6 and it's amazing, I think the Fit must be better. Definitely does everything I need. Can read messages on it, find phone, control music, track my runs, see heart rate and spo2, and way more. The Fit has GPS too I think. One charge lasts way over a week. Look on argos and amazon, fantastic watches!

I bought my garmin in John Lewis, but in the shop, second hand, which is basically people who bought it, opened the box, didn't like it and then returned it. Round 30% cheaper and brand new 🙂

You could also just record your run using Strava on your phone ?

I have been doing that but 1) I would like to track heartrate and 2) I find carrying my phone awkward! If I put it in my leggings they fall down, if I put it on my arm it annoys me. What do you all do with them?

Try either Flipbelt or SPIbelt.

Otherwise have a look on ebay for a watch, they are much cheaper when people upgrade because they had one for their birthday or whatever, or don't like one they've been given as a present.

Huawei band 6 does everything! I've had a fitbbit before and it was useless. Defo recommended either the honor band 6 or huwawei 6. They are both pretty much the same

For heart rate Polar are the biz. Check out second hand, although I think they do a model you'd like for your price range.
