What do you do when you’re in a funk

So this morning I have found myself a bit teary. It’s not depression, it’s a combination of period/sad news/worrying to much about things in general. I just went down a hole of gloom. Basically a pointless funk, and I don’t want to be here. I am fully on board with moving THROUGH feelings and allowing them space but the sun is shining and I want to shake it off.

What can I do to turn my mood around? I was thinking of fitting in a Joe Wicks workout around some working from home. Maybe some loud upbeat music. What do you do?

I’m always much better if I get out of house, countryside, greenery, a park. There’s a walk I do if I wake up early and pissed off, 45 minutes and it really helps.

and or talk to someone else. Zoom meeting with colleagues, lunch with a friend, lunch on my own.

Spending time with an animal works for me.

Lunchtime walk if the weather is nice.
Do something that I don't do very often - cinema, etc
Exercise

I go for a walk, have a chat with a friend or have a bath.

Definitely go for a walk

Yes. Force yourself to do a hit workout. You will feel a bit better by the end.

Also paint your nails.

Do you drink? Can you go and buy a nice bottle of wine to have a glass of tonight?

I count my blessings. Start with clean water. Then water on tap. Then water I can afford. Then hot water on tap. By the time I hit fifty I'm over myself, ready to do the next positive mood builder. I think at my worst I got over a hundred.

Thank you so much for these wonderful suggestions. I went outside, I did some exercise, I am going to do a list of gratitude tonight. I am starting to feel better.
