My go to cheap healthy meal is chicken something with a carb and a veg or two.
I went to my local Sainsburys little shop and paid the following;
£5 for 3 tiny chicken breasts, contemplated a whole chicken but it was nearly 7 quid!!!!
£1.50 for 2 corn on the cobs
£1.75 for two mini gem lettuces
£1.50 for a pack of 3 red onions
90p for a cucumber
£1.75 for a small bag of potato’s
This made one evening meal for 3 people and lunches for two the next day. That’s insane isn’t it!??! Would if been cheaper to order a pizza etc
I am time poor, hence the 2 min walking trip to the little shop and not a drive to my local big shop (5 miles away and at £1.81 p/l for diesel, no thanks.) now about to be both time poor and money poor, thanks to a £1.2k rise in my estimated fuel bills this year as well.
I was expecting energy to be high, but chicken and vegetables 😳😳😳
Probably just ranting sorry
