Your best stories of kids/young people asking you about 'the olden days', making out like you grew up in the Victorian era?

A few years ago a friend's 5 year old asked me if I remembered WW2. I was born in 1980!

When DS was little he asked what it was like growing up in black and white times. I was born in the 1960’s.

I remember my daughter being AMAZED that there were years before 2000. "Wow Mum, I can't even say the year you were born, it doesn't begin with 2! What do you mean, there were years before 2000? WOW YOU MUST BE REALLY OLLLLLLLLLLD"

My 5yo asked if the colour being switched on in the world was like the wizard of oz. She thought the world was black and white and one day they discovered colour and added it to everything 🤣

At the beginning of the pandemic, I was trying to explain to my then 8 yo son how rare it was and that the last pandemic was in 1918. He said "did you do lockdown then mum". I was 50 😆

When my son was 5 he asked if I had to live in a tent when I was little because houses weren't a real thing??? I was only 23 🤣

Years ago I can remember when my DS was out with me and my dMum. It was her 60th birthday and D's was 5. He told everyone we saw that my Nanny is an old aged pensioner today. Then the last person we saw he suddenly said my Nanny is so old now I think she was born with the dinosaurs. Then went on to making roaring noises. Mum not impressed at the time but in her later years she retold story and laughed with grown up dgs.

When I was little I asked by parents if they had shoes or had to go to school barefoot. They were born in 1960s.
