Tutoring

Have posted this in education, but no replies.

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice please. I'm an ex HLTA who was teaching for most of the day (primary). I left a couple of years ago and would now like to offer home tutoring but have no idea where to start.
Does anyone know how I'd keep up to date on teaching methods and syllabus to be able to do this please?
Thanks very much.

There seem to be quite a lot of tutoring “hubs” now - websites where you register yourself and people pay to find you. They might be worth checking out?

Thanks very much.

I'm more looking for information on how to keep on top of curriculum/syllabus changes

Isn’t the information all on the internet? When I want to know what GD will be doing in history , I look at the National Curriculum online. You will need to source copies of past papers for KS Assessments and 11+ exams as well as papers for individual schools. You don’t really need up to date teaching methods - you will have to adapt to each child. Is there a local tutoring firm? Perhaps you could work for them?
