Where's my period gone??

Took provera to delay period while i was on holiday. Nearly missed my chance when it started early, but took the pills anyway and it stopped after a day, followed by a little bit of spotting.

Enjoyed my holiday, and stopped the pills on the day i got back.

That was a week ago now and no sign of period... had very slight spotting over the weekend, and then sore cramps at the start of the week, but all that's gone now and still no period. GP said it would start within a few days of stopping the pills.

Has anyone else taken the medication to delay period and then had to wait ages for it to come back?

One last hopeful bump to see if anyone has had similar... on monday it will be 2 weeks since i stopped taking the tablets so really would have expected it to appear by now..

Did you get your period eventually @ChatterMonkey ?! I took Provera to stop my period on holiday recently & while my period has started a few days after stopping, it’s barely anything?! Spotting more than bleeding really.. I usually have really heavy periods & I was expecting a bad one after this! :-/

Yes it did eventually come back, think it ended up a 40+ day cycle, but when it did appear it was pretty normal.

I was dreading a really heavy one after so long without one but it was ok thankfully! And has been back to normal since then.

Hopefuly yours goes back to normal soon as well!
