Playdate etiquette

We have our very first play date tomorrow and it's with a mum I really like and get on with very well when we chat at the school gates. She's kindly said she'll make dinner for the kids while we're all there, so I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any ideas on something(s) I can bring as a thank you?

Offer to bring kids pudding? Something treat-y like little meringues broken up with berries and frozen yoghurt for them all?

or a box of fancy biccies

And/or a bottle of wine (depends on how the Play date is likely to end!)

Nothing. I'm sure you'll reciprocate, that's kinds of how it works. You don't need to take anything.

I tend to take pack of biscuits/chocs/wine depending on my relationship with other parent. Agree that it's not essential though as always end up reciprocating

I would maybe take a pack of bakery cookies or something similar as a treat for everyone to share. But you don't need to take anything, I'm sure she's not expecting you to.

Box of strawberries and a pot of cream
