Does anyone know how EVRI (Hermes) works?

I've had two parcels delivered from Vinted in the past 10 days to a collection point shop. I've had emails both times to say the parcel is there but in both cases the shopkeeper says the parcel is not there. I'm in limbo as the sender can't do anything, the tracking says it is at the shop so EVRI isn't interested but the shopkeeper says they are not there and is hinting that the person who delivers for EVRI is not reliable/trustworthy.

Does anyone know what triggers the email to say it's been delivered - is it the shop scanning the package when it arrives or the delivery person delivering it?

I really don't know what to do or who has liability and would really like the parcels.

Least you got 1 I suppose but terrible service do shops charge for being a delivery point ?

This has happened to me, but at Tesco's and they flatly refuse to give me my package/property because my parcel is not scanned on their system, even though they have it! I can't get anywhere with anyone, it has happened to be before at an independent and they also didn't want to give me my parcel, but in the end they did. Very frustrating and wasted journey time and petrol too, defeats the object of getting it now. Nightmare.
