Those of you who get up at 5am, when do you go to bed?

Think there are probably already there

CorneliaMarie · 22/05/2022 23:15

I wake around that time without alarm everyday irrespective of when I went to sleep - which should be now (or 45 mins ago!).

get up at 5.45. Like clockwork. Good and bad.

CorneliaMarie · 22/05/2022 23:19

Did you want a MN wake up call?

elizabethdraper · 22/05/2022 23:20

830pm - 930pm

FelixMadrigal · 23/05/2022 05:26

I head up to bed from around 8,30 and aim for lights out at 9.15, but sometimes read til around 10pm.

NoHeavenNoMore · 23/05/2022 05:38

Generally like to be in bed around 9pm

Geamhradh · 23/05/2022 05:40

I'm in Italy so it's 5.30-6 when I get up and am asleep 10-10.30. After a long day it can be earlier. Any later and I'm a zombie the next day. I need 7-8 hours.

Goatinthegarden · 23/05/2022 05:43

Bed around half ten. I wake up around 5am even if I have a later night.

Was at a wedding on Saturday, went to bed around 2am, wide awake in hotel room by 5am.

I always feel raring and ready to go when I get up in the morning…then go downhill over the course of the day.

ATadConfused · 23/05/2022 05:47

I'm a 4:44'er except for the odd 3:30 lately. I LOVE the early hours in Spring /Summer so I don't mind.

What does piss me off is that I've just had the weekend off & couldn't go back to sleep, this morning was a 3:30 and I could go back to sleep now, except I need to get ready for work!

bedtime varies. Mostly about 11:30.

Dashdotdotdash · 23/05/2022 06:08

I woke at 5 today having gone to bed around 8.30 last night. But that was after having been awake most of the previous night with DS in hospital (he's OK now). Still feeling quite fuzzy and spaced out.

BeautifulWar · 23/05/2022 06:13

11:00-11:30 generally, up for 5:15.

Lagattolove · 23/05/2022 06:20

10pm up between 5 and 6 with no alarm. But like others I could go to sleep much later and still wake at the same time.

gamerchick · 23/05/2022 06:21

No later than 10.

garlictwist · 23/05/2022 06:22

I am usually up by 5 even though I don't have kids. I've always been an early bird. I am normally in bed by 10.

ImplementingTheDennisSystem · 23/05/2022 06:23

I go to bed between 10pm-11pm. I wake naturally at 5am ish.
We just went on holiday (to this country - no jet lag) and I naturally woke at 4am, and got up, for the first 3 days!
I think I've won the lottery if I wake up and it's after 6am.
Can you imagine how annoying this is for me as I don't have kids!!

exLtEveDallas · 23/05/2022 06:23

I try to go by 1030 as I wake around 0445, snooze then get up at 0515 (all without alarm), sometimes 1100 depending on the TV.

but I’m another one that wakes early no matter what time I go up - on Fri night I was up till about 1230 and still had a cup of tea in my hand by 0530.

linerforlife · 23/05/2022 06:26

8.30-9pm

LaurieFairyCake · 23/05/2022 06:35

11 - according to my Fitbit I get between 5-6 hours sleep

I love it when I occasionally get 7 hours

lljkk · 23/05/2022 06:43

It's not voluntary being up so early...
Last night I put my head down about 10:30pm.

AperolWhore · 23/05/2022 06:51

The real question is what do you want to achieve by getting up at 5am and how much sleep you will need?

i get up at 4:50am to be working out at 5am and I need 7 hours so I’ll be in bed for 10pm, if I’m not working out and only walking the dog for example I can manage on less sleep but getting up at 4:50am does take some getting used to if you aren’t naturally an early waker xx

KangarooKenny · 23/05/2022 06:53

Go up to bed at 10pm, read until about 10.30/10.45.

UseOfWeapons · 23/05/2022 07:02

Usually 10pm, unless utterly knackered. Invariably awake without alarm between 5-5.30am, whether I go to bed at 2am or 10pm.

itsmellslikepopcarn · 23/05/2022 07:05

10 at the latest usually although sometimes does go over, never past 11 though. alarm is always set for 5.40 but I pretty much always wake up before it, 5-5.20 normally.

Snoken · 23/05/2022 07:09

I start to get ready for bed around 9pm, or just after. Then I read a book in bed until I fall asleep around 9.45-10pm. I don't set my alarm but I never wake after 5.30am, except for one day last week when I had had a particularly long, tough day, the morning after I woke up at 6.10.
