Problem with Vinted item. Any experts about?

I bought some AirPods for my son last week. They've arrived yesterday and although genuine, they're faulty.

I hit the button saying ' I have an issue' but it didn't seem to do anything? Just told me to resolve this initially with the seller

So I dropped them a line almost 24 hours ago. Explained the issue and requested a refund stating I'll return the item. They've seen the message and ignored. So ive followed up again and they've seen it - ignored once more

I'm aware that I only have 48 hours before Vinted release the money to the seller but I just can't work out how to involve Vinted! Their general contact button says they take 48 hours to respond - by that time they'll have released the money automatically to the seller

Any ideas please?

This link tells you what to do www.vinted.co.uk/help/469 it seems to say that if you have provided proof the payment will be held for resolution

Thanks @Enterthewolves ... I've messaged but I've not attached a photo - mainly because a photo won't show the issue. However I'll do that I think just so I've followed the procedure

It's not easy with Vinted - I've had issues too and I can't remember what happened but Vinted did get involved and refunded me.

It says this:

What happens when there’s a SNAD case?
If the buyer thinks an item is SNAD, they should press I have an issue on the conversation screen with the seller (within 2 days of the item’s delivery) and follow the instructions.
If an issue is reported, we will suspend the order. The seller will be able to see more details on their conversation screen with the buyer.
The buyer and seller can then find an agreement together. If they don’t, we’ll step in to help.
We'll reach out to the seller and ask them to dispute the claim within 48 hours or provide the buyer with the return address (except when the item is counterfeit).
If the seller disputes the claim and we still consider the item to be SNAD, we’ll cancel the order and ask the buyer to return the item. We’ll then refund the buyer.

If the seller fails to give their address within 48 hours, we’ll refund the buyer, and the order will be completed. In this case, the seller and buyer should find a solution regarding the item’s return on their own.

I think if you've pressed the 'I have an issue' button you should be ok...

Blossomandbee · 21/05/2022 12:36

I think the 2 day thing is the time you have to raise an issue before the money is released. Surely it's on hold if you've raised an issue?
I had a problem with a faulty purchase the other day, I didn't realise you had to pay return postage on faulty and mis-described goods which isn't fair.

Thanks all

Its the fact that pressing the ' I have an issue' button just gives you advice really on messaging the seller but doesn't expand on what to do if you're then ignored , that's throwing me a bit. It isn't clear cut that you've escalated or logged anything
