Good evening, I’ve never posted before so will try and keep things clear. My partner of 17 years has had a nasty rash/ sore spot near his groin for around 3 weeks, we just thought maybe sweat, and chafing etc. He finally went to the G.P yesterday and has been diagnosed with genital warts, I’m honestly in such shock. I know HPV can lie dormant , but 17 years. ( he’s never had an outbreak before) we did split for a while some years ago now and I know he was with other women, but when we got back together he swore to me he had always been safe, I have since found this not to be true and I believe it was a lot more women than what he said. Could this be where he got it? I’m so hurt and confused, and he swears blind he’s never, ever cheated. I just don’t know what to do. Thank you so much for taking the time to read x
