Started a new job on Monday, small team of 15. One guy is clearly a complete conspiracy theory nut. So far, flat earth, birth certificate bonds, chem trails and illuminati. He is utterly convinced and shares his 'knowledge' readily. Apparently I need to open my eyes and use critical thinking. He claims anyone who believes mainstream media/governments is an idiot. [hmm] The only word he didn't say was 'sheeple' My other colleagues roll their eyes and ignore. Will I get less than 12 for murder? [grin]

Obviously I don't know him well yet, but he seems to be the type who would then think I'm susceptible and I would get even more of it. I just didn't think people sincerely believed this stuff. I'm also concerned, he has children, the gene pool will suffer!

Apparently birth bonds are our birth certificates have money held against them in our name. Our resident theorist at work goes on about them.
He reckons they are worth millions each and as a result we don't have to pay bills 🤔 still pays his rent though
Chemtrails are planes spraying to control the weather. The government decides our weather daily according to him. Ergo climate change doesn't exist, its a tool to control us.
Our CT goes on about it daily.

We also live in a dome on a flat earth according to this guy. 🤔

The girl who did my microblading was like this. All very entertaining, until partway through the second brow, she vocalised some rather quaint theories about the Jews. I would have got up and left, but didn't fancy having 1.5 eyebrows, so I told her I'd rather we maintain silence for the remainder of the treatment, particularly as I wasn't keen on anti-semitism.

Might manage to restrain myself from "for god's sake shut the fuck up, you nitwit" but might say "please don't tell me any more of this, I don't want to hear it". Or stick my fingers in my ears and la la la loudly!

It's not just for the weather, it's also dumbing chemicals to keep us stupid and compliant. Not sure why it doesn't affect the ones in lower too though - maybe there's an antidote?.....

We had a Jehovah's Witness at work once. My dad also worked there and would often come and say "X said the end of the world is coming this Friday". It happened on a regular basis and used to crack my dad up. Especially when X's cat had kittens, did the cat not know the end of the world was coming???

My dad always asked him why the end hadn't come and the bloke would waffle away with some lame excuse!

DS had his second covid jab the other day. I really had to talk him into it because apparently his science teacher is an antivaxxer and was telling him all sorts of rubbish. TBF though, DS could have been making it up to get out of it, but he needed the jab to go on holiday.

Where are you going on holiday that you had to pressure a reluctant child in to having something he didn't want? Couldn't he just have taken a pre departure test instead? I agree though it's likely he was just making excuses. A teacher sharing those sorts of views would likely be pulled up on it.

This would drive me nuts. The other day I walked along the Embankment in London, not far from the Houses of Parliament, and was amazed to see a little encampment. Pop up tents on a stretch of road which is closed to traffic at the moment. Each tent had a home-made placard outside explaining its occupant's batshit world view. Some were about Covid and vaccinations, but I was very taken with the one which said something like 'It's weather manipulation, it's not climate change!'

I've read on here about the Freeman on the Land nonsense. Well personally no, I didn't make my high school age child have the flu jab and I didn't lock her up either.
