I live in the north west, single mum to 2 ages 2 and 5, boys.
I wanted to take them for an overnight stay somewhere won't he holidays but I don't have a lot of money 🙈
Can anyone recommend somewhere not too far away where there might be a nice fair or attractions or swimming! It's such a shame you can't do day trips to center parcs!

Blackpool? I know some people hate it but my DS thinks it's great.

At that age I'd head for the coast as they'll always enjoy the beach! I don't know the NW coast at all though so can't really recommend anything local to you. Manchester & Liverpool are both great for free museums too IME. Also if you can manage it, kids that age seem to get really excited by buffet breakfasts. Mine thought even the Premier Inn buffet was the height of excitement!

Thank all! I live in the Lancaster coast line but do like the idea of being somewhere n we the sea!
I was thinking maybe Liverpool way as they have a children's museum but not sure what else is going on there! Never really taken the boys to a big city!
Liverpool has always had a special place in my heart ☺️

Liverpool is a great idea. The Premier Inn on the Albert Dock is fantastic. You can walk along the river, go on the ferry, museums are close by. There was a carousel there when we went last summer.
