Do mortgage brokers take bribes?

So DH and I are looking to move west (from Chelsea). Our budget is about £2M, up from our flat that we purchased for £0.5M 4 years ago (by we I mean him... I sell cushions on Etsy).

Anyway, I was wondering, what are the tricks to get the best mortgage rates? Do brokers take bribes?

Thank you

I gave mine a box of quality street and some Prosecco I won at the school fair and got a fixed rate of 2% for 3 years.
given recent interest rate I wish I had sprung for Green and Blacks and a nice chateau Neuf de pape

A few hours on the Internet, on MSE or the L&C website, you can find a good rate yourself. That's what we did when we bought out £2M property.

Yes absolutely they do. For 50p and a bunch of grapes any decent broker can convince the BoE to change the base rate temporarily Hmm

I’d offer a blow job as a starter and see how that goes
