Do mortgage brokers take bribes?

So DH and I are looking to move west (from Chelsea). Our budget is about £2M, up from our flat that we purchased for £0.5M 4 years ago (by we I mean him... I sell cushions on Etsy).

Anyway, I was wondering, what are the tricks to get the best mortgage rates? Do brokers take bribes?

A few hours on the Internet, on MSE or the L&C website, you can find a good rate yourself. That's what we did when we bought out £2M property.

Yes absolutely they do. For 50p and a bunch of grapes any decent broker can convince the BoE to change the base rate temporarily
