Are IKEA really this crap!

I'm moving in two weeks, new build and I can finally put furniture in now carpets and blinds are done.

I've ordered £1000 of IKEA furniture for delivery last Saturday, they cancelled the order without telling me as the 'robots' didn't recognise the new build address. No email or phone call to check details, even though I made it clear where it was. I called them, they then reordered for delivery this Saturday, I've just called to check everything is ok, they have put the wrong postcode nowhere near the house, with no house number either. They've also put delivery for Monday, I won't be there as I'm at work, I work in a school so can't get time off! I just can't believe they can cock it up so badly, my nearest IKEA is an hour away so this is why I chose delivery. Is this normal for them 😳

Judging by the trust pilot reviews, yes it’s normal for them

This often happens with new builds. You need to contact the council address management team and check they have told post office, council tax, emergency services etc that the address is now "live". Then it should get on to maps/satnav that couriers use

Yes it usually for IKEA deliveries. Something to do with how the stores are set up.
