My 2 hour journey is going to take 5 hours. Train staff are working to rule.

This seems relatively new. I was travelling up to the end of last week and all seemed fine.

On the news today strikes in London Jubilee weekend. Not all stations affected but bound to be chaotic.

I'm in the North. It's Transpennine from today. Likely to be others soon. It's over pay rises (or lack of).

Problems in Scotland too - they're bringing in an emergency timetable which cuts about a third of the services due to driver shortages/threats of industrial action
But the train i take to work has been cancelled now, there's not one that gets me in in time (and we're only talking central Edinburgh for 8 so it's not like i start super early or am going somewhere out of the way )

It looks like most of the train operators.

This is actually starting to look pretty bad. I can WFH, so will do on strike days. The roads will be busy on those days. Not sure how those who can't WFH or drive will manage.

I've read reports today claiming that there will be food and power distribution problems, so we may see food shortages on shelves and power cuts.
