Hi would really like your opinions on would you would do in my situation.

7 years ago met my partner and me and my son moved to his home town 2 hours away from my home town. We now have 2 other children together. He works full time and I'm a sahm. We have been renting a house since I have been here but now have to move due to the landlord selling the house. We have been looking around here for other rentals but having no luck getting them.

But we don't know what to do. We having been talking about moving back to my home town 2 hours away but there's no rentals going there either. My mum has said me and my children could go and live with her till we found something there but my partner would stay here till we got a house and come down on weekends because he would be working all week here. The reason I would like to move to be closer to my family is I have no one here no family or friends and partners family don't do much with us. If we moved to my home town I could get a job as we have more support therewith childcare. I really don't know what to do for the best for all of us my children would have to move schools and my partner would have to try and get a job there when we do get a house.

Sorry it's a long one just so stressed with everything. Thanks for reading

Can I ask, what did you decide to do and how are things now?! I’m in a similar dilemma and curious as to how it worked out for you.
My partner and I live two hours from both sides of our family. In the last couple of years we’ve had two children and we really feel they miss out on not seeing family. We have a decent house and two decent jobs where we are, the fear is whether we’d get something similar closer to family or will it be at the detriment of our own little family.
