U shaped toothbrushes

I keep seeing these being advertised especially towards children.

I was interested in two for my dc but I’ve seen on dentist websites that they don’t clean the teeth properly.

Have you got one? Do you recommend it?

There's your answer 😊

You need to brush down not side to side.

I've never seen a U shaped brush except for a denture brush

This is what they look like.

They vibrate

That's quite a big thing for a child's mouth if they won't tolerate a normal brush.

dementedpixie · 16/05/2022 09:55

They don't look very effective.

You need a small headed brush so you can get to all the surfaces of the teeth properly

Soubriquet · 16/05/2022 10:03

They both have a small head toothbrush, but I kept seeing these advertised and thought it would be a good way to get them brushing better.

Then I read on dental sites that they weren’t recommended, and wanted to see if anyone actually had one.

Thank you all but I’ll stick with what I’ve got

That looks absolutely ridiculous and like it would make nothing but a mess. Total gimmick.

x2boys · 16/05/2022 10:05

Maybe try a three headed toothbrush, you can get them off amazon ,they are designed for children with special needs who can't tolerate brushing for any length of time .
