Premonitions - any experiences?

Just that really, curious if anyone else has had like a premonition of something and then it or similar has happened?

A few weeks ago I had a weird dream, I had a car accident in the dream. A few days later I had a car accident in real life. I don't fully remember all the dream to say if the details are the same but I just remember this absolute impact and frantically struggling to get myself out of the car this part of the dream is what happened in my actual accident.

I just keep thinking was the dream some sort of premonition or maybe just a total coincidence I'm not usually one to believe in these things but I can't stop thinking about it.

When I was a teenager I had a vivid dream about a ferry sinking.

It was the night before the capsize of the Herald of Free Enterprise.

Constantly. Todays has had awful consequences which is why I'm awake now.

Had a dream my friend was pregnant and she was panicking as "it's a boy, I don't know what to do with a boy"
She was 4 weeks pregnant. And yes, a boy!

Yes, but only occasionally. My last one was that my friend would miscarry, it was heartbreaking.

I have premonition dreams on a regular basis. About 1 in 100 or so come true.

My dreams feel very lifelike and fit in with what is happening in my life - I wake up feeling disoriented and feel 'strange' during the day.

Very very occasionally, what I have dreamed actually comes (vaguely) true. There are oly a finite number of ways forward from any situation, occasionally what has been imagined will actually happen.

When I was about 12 years old I was brushing my hair in front of the mirror and I had a sudden thought about a car crashing on my road. I went and looked out of the window at the road in front of my house and I thought to myself 'wouldn't it be weird if a car crashed here now'. Almost immediately a car came along and crashed. It didn't even hit anything, it just flipped upside down.
The woman driving was ok, she came into our house to use our phone. She thought she must have clipped the kerb.

I have only had one dream that came true. When I was 16 I dreamt about a building in detail. I dreamt the road it was on and very distinctive features in the interior. I visited it about a year later and it was just as I had dreamt. I don't know why I dreamt of it because it wasn't important at all.

I don't have dreams but out of the blue ..and it sounds nuts!! but I'd get a random thought about someone I know often someone I haven't had any contact with for ages and then usually a few days later I'd hear exactly what I thought was going to happen did! and I always think omg that thought popped into my head about them recently.. it's really weird and happens a lot and I really don't know why or how or whatever I've just no explanation

Very mundanely, I once thought about hedgehogs as I was driving during the day one October. Not 5 minutes later, I saw one bumbling along on the grass verge at the side of the road.

One morning, I had a thought that there would be a problem with the garage door handle which had never caused any problems prior to this. Sure enough, I couldn’t get it to work that day but it was fine thereafter (I bought a new handle that never needed to be fitted and still have it).

Nothing earth shattering, could have been coincidences, but they were odd thoughts to have had pop into my head at those times.

I’ve also had some visceral negative reactions to a couple of things for very little reason and both events went on to cause major stresses.

Yes. I have had this. I'll be in conversation and know what's about to happen next ....and I remember that I have dreamt it.
Not happened for long while but definitely remember these came from dreams

Just finished reading this: The Premonitions Bureau. It includes accounts from the Aberfan disaster. Fascinating reading.

Gosh fascinating to hear your stories too. I do remember as a child the odd occasion when I thought something and then it happened... but it's never been anything massive just like the phone is going to ring.. then it rings... or thinking of someone randomly then they appear.

I feel like there's something in it but who knows! It's mind blowing really!!

I kept had a recurring dream about our car being stolen - the burglars reversed the car at an odd angle and drove up our street and then back down, thinking it was a dead end. In the dark you might mistake my street for a cul-de-sac, but it is not.

Woke up one night to the sound of our gravel drive crunching. Looked out and the car was in the process of being stolen - the burglars reversed the car in the same odd angle as my dream, drove up the street and then turned and drove back down. It was exactly as I had dreamt it.

And yes, in my rather upset state I DID mention to the police at the time that I'd had a premonition. Cringe!!

I dreamt my neighbour was sat in her front window with s baby boy. She laughed when I told her as she struggled to conceive her first DD. A few months later she got pregnant and went on to have a boy.

About 6 months ago, I was fast asleep and I heard a gentle/light knock on my door. I woke up and was peeping from my bedroom curtains a bit freaked out and a fox was stood facing me dead on looking up at me, he just turned and went on his way. Often tried to wonder of there was any symbolism behind the visit.

I had a dream of being hugged it was like being in the arms of an angel or god, or like my grandma hugging me so tightly in her arms but felt more spiritual. I felt the wellbeing from it for a few days.

Dog started randomly and aggressively barking in the air (nothing there), usually totally lazy, chilled pooch. Two days later I find out a family member died on the same day and time.

Dreamt about having a miscarriage when pregnant. 2 days later I had a sort of fall which triggered my miscarriage. It was scary to realize I had dreamt about it 2 days earlier. Years later it is still very unsettling.

Not a dream, but a fleeting thought right before it happened. I was on my school bus, head phones in, kind of daydreaming. I suddenly thought wouldn't it be weird if the bus crashed, seconds later, it did.

That’s so odd! I came on to say that my dad dreamt of a ferry sinking the night before the. Herald of Free Enterprise sank.

He also dreamt of a “disaster” that would involve my uncle, and got very agitated about it. The following day the same uncle was interviewed on national news after a bombing in his town (he was a vicar).
