Eurovision ideas!

We love Eurovision in our house and will be watching tomorrow night with 3 generations (yes, we're that cool....).

Ideas for Eurovision night fun. We've got scorecards, there's a sweepstake and there's Eurovision bingo. Any other brilliant ideas?

Can't be drinking games due to older GPs and younger teens.

That's all you need really, the show is the main thing! There's bringing a dish from the country you're getting behind perhaps, back in my student days the scorecard was a big table with columns for outfit, song, gimmick, staging etc that added up to a grand total rather than just a scorecard out of 10.

We do European snacks.

It was easier when I wasn't vegan, though - could just do a Supermarket Sweep around the international section of the supermarket 😄

I've done food / drink for different countries. The first time was pre internet so we didn't have a list of countries and we had to substitute some food eg Greek salad represented half the Mediterranean.

Do you have any suitable hats/wigs etc in the fancy dress cupboard? In our house whoever got Norway/Denmark/Sweden in the sweepstake had to wear the Viking helmet for their songs. A lovely blonde wig for whoever gets UK would be appropriate.

Great ideas! I once did a multinational buffet but it was a LOT of work!

If you are in the UK you could get some union jack party gear, flags to wave/hats etc to support the UK entry. Lots of jubilee stuff around at the moment that would do the job.

Oh, that's a great idea. I've left it too late for this year but maybe next year I'll throw a Eurovision party.
