Any police officers around? What will happen if I report drink driver through crime stoppers?

A close family member of mine drinks heavily, think a bottle of spirits, most evenings and then drives to work early the next day. No doubt still over the limit.

There has been occasions where they have a young child in the car during those journeys.

I am going to report via crimestoppers, but I need to make sure there is no possible way this comes back to me.

I understand crimestoppers is anonymous and they will pass the information over to the police, but if the police do pull this person over will they say they’ve had a tip off, or it came via CS, or will it just appear like a routine stop?

You can do it online on 101. I did and I know the problem was seen to.

But will they say it was from a tip off if they did pull him over? That’s my concern

Don't give your real name/number or relationship to the drink driver when you do ring up - then there's no chance of a leak.
