If you can dress down for the office, do you?

My employers have a permanent dress down policy now. I tend to wear my usual office clothes when I go in as I’d never wear them anywhere else. Most of my colleagues dress down.

I’m curious about what other people do. DH is permanently WFH but says he’d do the same as me.

Oh, I’m in no way suggesting smartness of dress and intelligence or ability to do a job are linked. Nor am I saying people should dress a particular way. I’m simply curious what other people do.

I work for a licensed conveyancers now. Most of my colleagues have degrees yet have largely fully embraced the permanent dress down.

Our policy is general office wear Monday to Thursday and dress down on Fridays. Same as pre-covid. I'm only in the office part of the week but I do go in casual wear on Fridays.

I like to keep jeans for the weekends so I can have a difference. However, because of my bunion I really appreciate being able to wear my sketchers so I suppose I'm partly casual.

I changed jobs about 5 years ago to a much more casual place. I gradually phased out the office wear and happily wore more casual dresses with opaque or jeans with a jumper. Hoodies would still feel too casual.
