Dh and I are going out with two other couple in a few weeks to a nice pub on the river, this will be the first time we have been out without children/as a family in 16 years! I am have no idea what to wear, non at all I am completely out of touch. I would normally wear jeans and a basic Next v-neck T-shirt as we would be doing something kid oriented. The pub has a smart casual dress code (whatever that means) and strictly no sports wear. So please could someone with a sense of fashion help me out. I am short at 5ft2 a size 10 but sometimes an 8 from places like Next. I have money to spend but just have no idea what to buy, I don’t want to turn up and look ridiculous and I am starting to consider telling dh I don’t want to go.
