Ways to make extra money in Free time

Hi all,

New to the site and didn't know where to look for this specific advice so thought it might be a good idea to just start a discussion :)

I'm wondering if any of you have any experience earning money on the side/in your free time. What kind of sites/apps are out there to help someone do this?

I started matched betting last month after seeing a post about it on another site, and so far have earned about £400 for maybe 20 hours of work, which I was delighted with. I've also sold a couple of items of clothing in facebook marketplace.

Anyway, it got me thinking, what else is out there?

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

I tried matched betting for a while too.

Online Surveys? Although the only one worth doing in my opinion is Prolific Academic. I earn £30-£60 a month doing studies from there. Never going to be big money but I enjoy doing them so it's nice for that pocket money whilst I'm on maternity leave!

I can second Prolific surveys.

Other than that, are you into crafts at all? If so, maybe make things to sell on Etsy or something? Personalised cards, trinkets, jewellery stuff like that.

Buying stuff from the charity shop to resell on FB/eBay. (clothes, books etc)

While some suggestions might not be everyone's cup of tea, like online surveys or freelance gigs, others can be quite lucrative if you put in the effort. However, I'd tread cautiously with anything promising easy money, especially those games that pay real money to cash app. They often come with risks, and it's essential to do thorough research before diving in. Personally, I prefer more traditional side hustles or exploring creative talents like crafting or writing. But hey, to each their own!
