Hi everyone
Just a quick question, i received my reception place offer in April and was wondering how long before the school contact you with all the information you will need?
I just want to start planning what I need to do about work and breakfast clubs etc. I didn't want to start ringing the school yet just in case!
Many thanks

Probably not until after half term, so June. Lists still quite fluid now.

I’ve already received all this info so I guess it depends on the school.

As pp after half term. I imagine once they've made contact the floodgates open and it's all consuming, so they want to sure who is 100% attending before they do so.

OP I'm in the same boat, waiting for the school to contact me. Not heard anything yet, I was going to leave it til after half term and go from there.

We’ve already received all the dates in for and schedule for September (half days for 2 weeks) in a welcome email but our school are hosting a new parents information evening and giving out packs with forms then. You’ll prob be contacted by something similar when school is ready

Ours get sent around July

Orangey25 · 10/05/2022 15:37

Thanks everyone. I will hang on a bit longer then before I contact the school.

Silly question, but you did accept the place.

I've done 3 applications now and every bloody time I've almost missed the "accept offer" button.

But nope, not heard anything yet.

Orangey25 · 10/05/2022 15:55

No i re-read the email a million times and it deffo says if you accept the offer you do not need to do anything, so I haven't. I have probably misread it all those times!

Orangey25 · 10/05/2022 16:03

If the wrap around care is separate to the school (ie run by non school company) then you can email them for the application process. In my case it didnt speed things up as they do all the applications at once (as they have to find out about children leaving to work out how many spaces there are). But it did get the paperwork out of the way.

We got a welcome letter the week after offer day and have a parents evening next week. I’m impressed!
