The pat on the back thread

Today I did three things that have been hanging over me

  1. rearranged a dental appointment

  2. booked my smear test

  3. booked the cat in for vaccinations at the vet

I still need to rearrange my sight test because I had to cancel it due to having covid but they weren’t answering the phone earlier.

There’s obviously a slight theme in the things that I put off (basically anything that requires a phone call but especially medical related things and things that then require finding a possible time to do the appointment).

Anyone else achieved anything minor today that they’d like a pat on the back for?

I don't want a pat on the back, I want chocolate and lots of it! My list is full of procrastination things.

1, Arranged mammogram

  1. Called vets for bloods
  2. Called opticians
  3. Do online prescriptions
  4. Book a blood test
  5. Sort out 2x wildlife cameras as I have ignored them for days
  6. Update laptop including antivirus (I really really hate doing this - you watch it and it takes forever, you leave it whilst updating for it to throw a fit and needing your immediate attention before blue screen of death. Never anything in between) /end rant
  7. Checked bank statement but still need to pay the visa bill (scary)

Right now I am eyeing up the toilet/bathroom. Trying to figure out if I dare leave it for tomorrow or if I will regret not doing it today.

sadly hands back chocolate

Apparently I have to rebook the mammogram due to some failure their end, but it can't be done today. Took me 1 hour and 13 minutes just to get through earlier today. Grrrrr

I think the chocolate is still well deserved 😀

I made wild garlic pesto for the first time! Have meant to for years, but never got around to it.
Picked some wild garlic yesterday, and actually made the blooming stuff today.

I looked after a sick 6 year old and still managed to tick of my urgent work 'to dos' - am self employed so had to be done!

I answered all my husbands work calls while looking after my very demanding 101 year old granny. Feel like I need a bloody trophy, not a pat on the back 😂
