Checking in at the airport when your ticket is issued by an airline but all flights are operated by other airlines

Silly question but given the chaos in recent weeks in Manchester airport I guess I would have no time to join another checking in queue if I get in the wrong one without loosing my flight. I am going to the USA so I am not able to do online checking or checking in screens as I need to present evidence of cv vaccination and negative test.

My tickets were issued by Iberia but the flights are operated by BA and American. Which desk should I queue at, Iberia or BA (first flight is with BA)

and also, if you have been at Manchester Airport in the last 5 days, are the queues still that bad? I am taking a train to the airport which allows me to get there almost three hours before my first flight which is an internal flight, would this be enough?

Thank you

Don’t worry codeshare flights are pretty standard stuff. Go to the BA desk as they’re operating the first flight. No idea on Manchester airport though, sorry!

When you look at the board for destination and time of dept they display all code share details for example it will have something like BA123 which will then also switch to FR456 so you'll see your flight number pop up

Codeshare is normal, and when you arrive at the airport look at the check in board - it will have all the codeshare options for your flight alongside the check in desks - as an example the flight in the image attached is sold under several different codes, but they all check in at the same place. You can even look for your flight on Manchester Airport website to reassure yourself. Have a great trip!

Thanks for that! I just went to check in the Manchester Airport website and it says that I should refer to screens for information, interestingly, the checkin desks say they open just before 3 hours in advance but that I should allocate 4h45m to get through security! 😱
