Problem with grout?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if somebody could help please with a potential issue with my grout? Just wanted to get some opinions before I contact the tiler who did it.

Tiling was done at the end of March 2022 in my kitchen. This is the grout the tiler used palacechemicals.co.uk/shop/tiling-range/tile-grouts/palace-colour-lock-grout/

Tiler provided all of the materials. I just told him the colour I wanted.

Tiler said it would be fine to walk in kitchen around 5 hours after the grouting was done. But I left it for 24 hours before I went into the kitchen. 5 hours didn't seem like enough time to me.

I also didn't mop the kitchen until 4 days after the grouting was done (I was being super cautious as I saved up for a long time to get my kitchen done!)

I noticed around 2 weeks after the grout was done, that one line of grout was crumbling/ bubbling? I didn't think much of it at the time, as I thought maybe the tiler nicked it by accident with his sponge when he was cleaning up.

However, since then, I have noticed alot of other areas where it is happening. It seems to be happening when even a tiny bit of water gets onto the grout.

I have not used any harsh chemicals to clean the grout. I haven't even used a steam mop - just a standard spin mop.

The same grout was used for the wall backsplash tiles and I haven't so far noticed any issues with the grout on the walls. The grout on the wall tiles was however done one day before the tiler grouted the floors.

I had my bathroom floors tiled around 10 years ago, and the grout in there has not crumbled/ bubbled like the grout in my kitchen!

Any advice/ opinions was be appreciated.

Thank you in advance
