Wtf is this pain at the top of my leg?

I'd say it's centrally located on the front of my leg, right at the top 1cm below the crease where my leg joins my torso iyswim.

It came on suddenly while I was enjoying my second cup of coffee after parkrun, so after exercise but not immediately after.

It doesn't hurt to stand or walk or run, but is incredibly tender to touch. Even clothes touching it is really quite painful.

A patch about the size of a 50p piece.

There's nothing to see, no lump, bruise or redness.

Maybe meralgia paraesthetica? Google it and see if it fits. I thought I had that once, so read loads about it, although it turned out to be more sciatic nerve pain for me (which got better with visit to an osteopath, and doing pilates/yoga type things).

I would say GPs tend to be fairly unhelpful about odd aches and pains where there's no clear cause and it's not causing terrible problems, so if you can get a good osteopath recommendation, and can afford it, they can be quite helpful with/interested in odd nerve/muscle things. Hope you can find the answer!
