Day off each week

If you worked a 4 day week and had a day to yourself on the 5th day what would you do with it? I'll be working really long days on the other 4 days.
So far, I've considered:

  1. Getting a personal trainer and getting fit.
  2. Different days out.
  3. Volunteering in a school.
  4. Other volunteering.
  5. Learning a new skill.

I have a dog but can get them looked after if needs be. There might be occasional times my work will need me so I can't really get other employment on this day.

Ideas very welcome.

I dont work fridays
I find by time i do a top up shop, cleaning so dont have to at weekend, walk the dog and have lunch i have about enough time to watch a non child friendly programme and then its school pick up time
Id envisaged volunteering and plentiful exercise too

I have one day off a week. It's not really a full day though as I do the school run.
I use that day to run my errands.
I do a gym class, get hair/nails/wax done. Do the food shop. Go to the post office etc.
and that's it! The day is gone!

I wouldn’t be planning anything longer term but I’d probably set myself a couple of goals. Ie to use the spa twice on the day off over the course of a month. Meet a friend for lunch once a month. Take MIL out for the day once a month. Plan a nice meal for the family etc, that kind of thing.
I work term time so am off during the holidays with my dc and am not allowed to take leave obviously during term time so a day to myself is, like for many people, an absolute rarity. I wouldn’t be shoe horning too much stuff in!

I used to work a compressed week, so 5 days in 4. It was quite tiring, as I had a long commute and I tended to spend my non working day doing the things I couldn't do on the previous days. I was also tired, so I didn't want to do much.

i do housework, bake, visit recycling depo,

whatever. Then the weekend is mine. Most weekends you’ll find me up a mountain so i do my chores on my day at home.

I use my day of for shopping for me, sorting out private appointments, taking care of life admin, doing nothing at all and going to yoga.

I think the important bit. for me is that I can decide what to do, the only fix thing is yoga but I can take a break and do the session via YouTube afterwards if I can't make it.

Volunteering would mean I am again committed to something and I want my flexibitiliy.

My husband moved to this when the children were born. He started by looking after them! then it was handy to get stuff done, or be in for deliveries. Now, I do a 3 day week so we are often off together.
