I am off to a mall today with a John Lewis, MandS etc. I don't have my exact measurements but I am definitely around the 14-18 size thanks to disparity of sizes.

I am off to a wedding soon and I would really like something that is going to hold my stomach in for a particular dress. I haven't brought anything like this for a few years, and I would perhaps rather see it in store than order online - but open to advice!

I prefer the ‘wear your own bra’ full body shapers for under dresses. I suppose they’re a more comfy version of what people used to call a girdle.

They give a more streamlined look than Spanx style knickers or shirts, and you can wear your own undies and roll up more easily to go to the loo rather than struggling with getting shaping pants up and down.

I get mine from Next.

Be warned, shapewear with the pants bit is non returnable
