Waitrose - payment query

Wondering if someone might be able to advise.

When to Waitrose take payment for a grocery shop?

I have my first order due tomorrow however the money I was relying on from a client has not materialised!

I can add fund tomorrow at the post office but if they attempt to take payment between now and the morning I'm buggered as they'll cancel the order I presume!

It depends what time you are getting your order.
If it's due in the morning, they can take it any time from midnight onwards - depends when they pick it.
If it's due in the afternoon it will probably be after 10am - again will be when the person who picks your order puts it through the till so there is no exact time.

@Snugglepumpkin thank you! It's due between 11 and 12pm so I guess I'm potentially buggered. At least I know!

@deflatedbirthday try phoning their customer services or local store number.
They might have a solution but I think they have to check it out before they load it onto the van.
Always worth asking.

I had Waitrose payment declined as my card hadn't realised my card had expired. I got an email in the morning telling me to call and pay over the phone. The driver then checked when he arrived.So you'd potentially have time to run to the post office then phone and pay.

Yep I’ve had it before where it hasn’t gone through for some reason (it goes the night before or morning of) and they’ve sent an email saying I need to call and pay but said they would still deliver.

@2Hooves oh that's a relief! I can but hope!
