CCTV audio

I've got CCTV with audio.
But now I'm worried I'm not allowed audio?
But I thought you were? Cos the ring and blink cameras are audio aren't they?

It’s not absolute that you must not record audio, Ico recommend that you disable audio but there may be a valid reason to record.
You must not keep video or audio for longe than required and should not be recording conversations etc

@purpleme12 you have asked about how you would get audio when someone is in your garden. If you have been abused before and are intending to use CCTV video & audio to help protect you / capture evidence then that would most likely be a valid reason.
You can ask at your local police station for the crime prevention officers advice.

As you’re worried about it can you give us the type/model of camera you have and someone may be able to assist with the settings
