Babysit

I was just asked to babysit for Monday. I like helping people and I usually accept but I really do t feel like babysitting. Is it ok to lie to turn it down.

I work full time and often it can be long week. I had plans made for the whole entire weekend. My room is in squalor due to months of neglect. It's in a desperate need of a clean. Which I am doing today and tomorrow and Monday too. It looks like I will be sleeping on the couch too. I never realized how bad the room is.

Don't lie, just say you're busy so can't help.

Of course you don't have to babysit. Just say you're too busy and want a very early night.

You've got plans so tell them you've got plans. No lie needed.

Just say no. You are too busy!

Thanks for the replies. I turned it down. It's something that I am just not able to do right now. I would love to help but I can't. I am knee deep in so much shit. It's so easy to let mess pile up when you're working every week. I find bank holidays are great for catching up with jobs around the house. This long weekend and time off is so valuable to me.
