Hi 🙂 Is there a free simple to do run of the mill version of word I can download please. The free ones I have see are all asking for bank details etc.

Or asking to sign in microsoft etc.

Use Google docs (part of gmail) they work the same except sit in the cloud and are free.

OpenOffice. Free to download and has a lot of the features of Word.

We are using a free version ds's school provided, think he will also get free from uni, but once that is done it is likely we will lose access and need to start paying.

We did buy outright in the past, but it has now moved to an annual cost.

There are free versions with limited functionality on ipad.

You can either use Google Docs (free if you have a Google account) or OpenOffice, which is just like Microsoft office, but open source so it is free.
