Has anyone set up as a botox nurse?

And would you be kind enough to give me the pros and cons?
I'm considering it but I'm not a prescriber so I imagine that'd be a faff.
I'm aware the lady who does my botox makes a fortune and its tempting.

Crikey thanks to you all all the factual information. I've been looking at the prices round here for market research, and some salons are doing 3 areas for £150, so I wonder what corners they are cutting!? The lady I see is a qualified nurse with a good set up, so I pay a lot more.
I guess the market here is saturated with cheap deals, and I don't want to invest in training to not make a return.
Would anyone fancy throwing me some ideas of other ideas (cheeky I know!).
@BarbaraofSeville I have looked at CQC roles before, maybe I'll revisit that.

No but I know someone who did - she is a qualified nurse who didn't want to get the Covid jab so she left the NHS (this was back when the government was threatening to sack NHS staff who didn't have the jab). She set up doing botox and fillers. She makes more money than she did as a nurse.

So she doesn't object to Botox but she does object to vaccinations?

£150 doesn't make any sense at all.

do you have a link?

Unless it's £150 for one area? Then £185 for 2 and £220 for 3 areas?

You can't compare botox and vaccinations.

Theres also the key nugget of choice as well.

My friend who is a nurse set up a couple of years ago

She took her prescribers exams and all the training for Botox and fillers etc

She set up a lovely clinic in her home,
I go to her for my Botox and she's fab

HOWEVER...since setting up she still works full time as an a&e nurse and just does the Botox (and also fillers) when and if she gets a booking.
She has told me she barely makes anything, it's such a shame for her

I am not saying it is like this in all areas but where we live it's absolutely saturated with botox / filler practitioners

Unfortunately it drives down prices and means it's not that lucrative hence why my mate still works ft

@MrsMingech hopefully the picture will attach. I thought "sales" on botox had been banned, but seemingly not

£120 for three areas, they would be at a loss.

That makes no sense at all.

MrsMingech · 02/05/2022 18:20

I'm guessing that hidden but says "usually £250" which makes sense.

I can't think why they would drop it to £120 and be at a loss.

Unless they have surplus toxin and trying to drum up new clients.

Botoxbotox · 02/05/2022 19:51

@MrsMingech yes it says usually £250, but I'm assuming they always have a sale on IYSWIM. I don't see how I'd even begin to compete whilst maintaining any sort of standards.
Back to the drawing board....

I read this before setting up :) https://hq-software.com/blog/how-much-can-you-earn-in-aesthetics/ . It seemed to be quite accurate and hope it helps
