Hi just wondering if anyone knows anything about UC and DLA my daughter has been awarded high rate care so I have updated my change circumstances and I’m waiting to see if they will backdate her payments from when DLA have
But I was speaking to a Friend and she said if I have outstanding advances payments on my UC which I do they will repay all them with my daughters back payment but surely that’s can’t be Right ? As the money is in my child’s name not mine
she said they took money of her because they over paid her I can understand them taken money if they have over paid you but surely not advances!
I’ve always worked so I’m new to all this and each time I call UC you can never get through to anyone and when you do they just say it’s with a decision maker and it can take 4/5 weeks for a decision To be made and they take about 6 days to reply back to a message on My journal 🤦🏻♀️
