Calling the RAC

Wasn't sure where to put this. My car battery has gone and I'm locked out of the car. Can't get in via manual key. I have Homestart so I can call RAC to get in to it for me and start up or replace the battery. I don't need the car this week as I go to work on the train but I have booked it in for MOT on Thursday.

My question is - can you book a time that is non-urgent as in not a breakdown situation?

Hi,

Not sure the RAC will let you book an appointment.

I am surprised you can't open your door with the key as that is the back up.

You Can't book an appointment but suggest you call them on a mid morning of a day you will be at home and tell them they can treat you as a non priority. They will come to you at some point in the day

I've booked a time for them to come before now. You have to do it online now so not sure if that is still an option.
