Why are Hermes so crap?!!

I have a very large parcel from Amazon that I need to return. If it's not returned by Wednesday I can't get a refund.

Long story short but I started the return process over 2 weeks ago. Hermes repeatedly haven't arrived to collect. On Friday Amazon assured me it'd be collected today. I have literally spent my day off work sitting in the front room by the window since 7.30 this morning to make sure that there is absolutely no chance of me missing them. Once again they've not fucking been.

It's a large item so Hermes is Amazon's only option for a parcel this size, and it over £120 so not something I can just think sod it I won't bother returning it.

Every time I have delivery issues it's always bloody Hermes.... collections d delivery is literally their job... how are they so shit?!!!!
Just needed to rant before I get back onto Amazon customer services AGAIN 😠😠😠🤬

Op if I were you I would get back on to Amazon and complain about all the time and stress this has caused you as I have done this in the past over minor issues and they have usually given me a voucher as a gesture of goodwill, usually around £10 to £20 worth, applied as a credit to your account, might take the sting out of all this hassle for you, and worth a 5 minute phone call?

And this is the difference with Hermes and DPD... had a lovely email saying they will be here between 12 and 1 unlike Hermes who say between 8am and 8pm and don't even turn up.

Lovely DPD courier arrived bang on time... it's gone! 😁

They aren't Hermes anymore... They are called Evri!

It doesn’t really matter what they’re called. The organisation is still useless and does a disservice to the individual couriers who are trying to do their best.

Whatever they are calling themselves, it still says Hermes on the Amazon return page and they're still crap!
