Any good party bag ideas for an 8yo boy's birthday party please?

What's the party theme?

MarmitesMyMate · 24/04/2022 18:20

Just do sweet cones. Honestly easy and no one wants loads of crap and clutter. I know you can get lovely bits but at 8yo i honestly think it would be a waste

A boom and a water pistol

An item, like top trumps / pack of cheap Pokémon cards, and something sweet?
At a recent 8 year olds party the venue made a mix up with the bags so party dad bought a load of Easter eggs as party bags instead. This was actually weeks before Easter. Hugely popular!

I also went with sweet cones at that age and they always went down well. DS did once receive a football at the same age though and all the boys were thrilled with that!

Thanks so much for the ideas! A whole football sounds great! Grin

None! Just skip them. They seem to be on the wane near us. DS want to a few parties recently and no party bags at all. Didn't even miss them. We decided not to give any out at his party last weekend either.

A football is the type of thing I might have given as an actual present to the birthday child. I'd be a bit bemused if my child got one in a party bag.

We do a cupcake and a bar of chocolate. This time we did a bag of mini eggs. Tat is a waste. Food is much better!

just done a 9 year old boys party - we did £1 water pistols from b&m. Had 4 messages from parents saying how much their kid likes them.

How about key rings? My son did this recently for his 7th birthday. We ordered from Amazon and there were 30 in a pack- came to about £11.00. The kids seem to love a key ring on their bag / book bags.
