Teen - what to wear to nice restaurant

My DD aged 15 is very much a trainers and hoodie sort of girl but we've got a family dinner at a really nice restaurant which although hasn't officially got a dress code is pretty smart. She's really happy to wear something other than her usual hoodie etc but we've not been able to find anything. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable so could also be trousers and top rather than a dress (she's quite open to a dress if she could find one!) Also she'd hate to turn up and feel overdressed!

She really likes Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, vintage 90s, Stradivarius and things of that ilk.

Any suggestions (especially from cool teens 😉) would be great. Thank you.

Maybe a playsuit with (clean!) Converse?

Sorry but the Disigual ones are horrific imo!

I wouldn't wear those Desigual things, let alone my 16yo.
DD is v alternative so her 'dressing smart' is black jeans, a plain top and DMS. For me, there's no point spending the money if it will never be worn again.

Hope you find something OP

We've had this recently-younger teen went with a shortish tiered dress with embroidered converse (new so v clean!) and she's also fond of a slip dress with a new white t shirt underneath. Cute and no skin on show so she was comfortable. Agree with others, Urban outfitters, H&M, Zara, all good for this sort of thing. Hope you all have fun.

☝THIS! No point dressing them up as someone they're not and wasting your hard earned. My parents are so kind taking the kids to nice places but DD revels in turning up in her band t shirts and DMs. 😂

She has agreed on clean converse so that’s a start 😂 I do want her to feel comfortable and given all the options above am sure we’ll find something.

Slip dress with a t-shirt under is a great idea too.

Have a look at Zara and Mango maybe?
