Has anyone else been using the lense solution that specsavers has recalled?

I have had very painful gritty eyes for weeks and am wondering if that was the cause!!? Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes!! And I've had major issues with lenses tearing or developing nicks in the edges while I'm wearing them too! I lost 7 or 8 lenses from new year till 3 weeks ago. Some of the lenses developed damage while in the case/solution. They were fine going in! Since they sent the new lotion and new case, I've had no problems!

Wow I'm glad it's not just me I thought there must have been something terribly wrong then when I got the letter it dawned on me!

I haven't torn any but the pain in my eyes has been unbelievable I've constantly felt like grit has blown into my eyes then after taking them out my eyes were so sore.

I had 6 bottles to claim a refund for but still haven't received the email to confirm and send my bank details

It wasn't painful for me but definitely a sandy/gritty feeling! Fingers crossed I have better luck with the lenses now the solution has changed.

Mine have been really cloudy and I'm struggling to see. I've taken to washing them again part way through the day just to function.
It has improved with the new solution but not 100%.

I threw away all the solution and the set of lenses I was using when the new solution came and it seems to be fine ands back to normal upto now!
