Anyone work for the DWP?

Hi

I need to get hold of a decision letter for esa dated August 2021. I have lost my original copy.

Ive rung the call center four times and have been reassured that they have passed this on to the benefit center/ escalated it/ requested a callback etc. No call back received.

This is getting tiresome. Any ideas on how to progress this? Formal complaint? Request under GFPR/Sar or via my MP?

I’ve even tried to go to my local job center but they cant help as my case is closed as now back at work.

Anyone any ideas please?

How long ago did you contact them? I'm not going into details about my job role, but I can tell you the back log of work at the moment behind the scenes is huge. Too much work and too little staff basically..

Sorry if that wasn't massively helpful, your request will be dealt with, but if it's not an urgent/payment related query, it won't be prioritised unfortunately.

If you put in a SARN for it, it's max 28 days and £10 - so ultimately that might be your best bet given the delays referred to by @hellswelshy

Thanks for the reply. I contacted them initially 2 weeks ago. Then have been chasing it every couple of days.

i think its the false promises from the call center that annoy me.

I dont understand why its taking so long to print something out, but as you have said they might be snowed under.

The workload is huge like I say, and priorities have to be payments and vulnerable customers. Totally understand your frustration though. If the handoffs havebeen sent through, you've done all you can for now. Hope you get your letter soon.
