Passport countersignature

A friend has countersigned my children's passport renewal recently (online application) and when I saw her she said that on the fathers bit she said she didn't know him.
That is true as she's never met him but now I'm panicking thinking it won't be approved and we have a holiday booked.
I wouldn't expect her to lie but I just thought she had to confirm that she knew me and that the photos were a likeness of the children so this has thrown me a bit.

Has anyone countersigned recently and knows the exact question she would have been asked or has anyone had this issue?

Holiday is 11 weeks 2 days away but I've seen that there are delays of up to 10 weeks at the moment so slightly worried now that this could cause a delay.

Give them a call. My DD needed her passport fairly quickly, they obviously couldn't fast track the application just because he needed it, but where really helpful.

You've applied for the passport tho? And she's agreed that she knows you?

Yes but she's also said that she didn't know the father, when I think, from looking online, she would have just had to confirm his name.
From what I can gather I think she has put she doesn't know who he is so hasn't agreed to confirming his name if that makes sense.

Call them and chase. Don’t assume if you’ve heard nothing there’s not a problem. I imagine they may ask you send your daughters birth certificate in. If you do send recorded delivery.
