People snapping at work

I have had 2 people snap at me at work recently for no reason. I think the 1 person has enraged the other by making up problems for solutions. It is getting me down that people think they can just behave in that way taking out their issues on me. What is the best way to respond to this behaviour?

The one person did it in the office which is unprofessional and then backtracked as they realised they were in the wrong. I am fed up of working so hard and this is the way I am repaid. The main problem is the manager causing fake problems just so he can tell people off and abuse his power. The manager sends nasty emails too.

Morale is low in the team and you can sense they don't like the manager. One colleague was only here 4 months and the manager spoke to her like dirt in a Zoom meeting so she left. Is it best to have minimal contact as possible.

Sounds like a toxic environment. Might be worth looking elsewhere unless you really love the job
